Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of JSeeQ. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. They are written to be read by humans rather than only by lawyers. Last updated 2026-04-26.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use JSeeQ. By creating an account you represent that you meet this requirement.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for everything done under your account. Use a unique password and enable two-factor authentication when we make it available.
One human, one account. Do not share login credentials. If you need another person to view or edit your data, invite them to your workspace at the role that fits.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use JSeeQ to harass, defame, or impersonate others; to send unsolicited bulk email through the invite flow; to scrape, reverse-engineer, or run automated load against the service; or to attempt to access workspaces or accounts that aren't yours.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, or that we reasonably believe are being used for illegal purposes, without prior notice if the breach is serious.
Plans and billing
Free plans are free. Paid plans are billed via Stripe on a recurring basis at the price displayed at checkout, including any taxes Stripe Tax determines apply to your jurisdiction.
You may cancel at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal, accessible from the billing page in the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not issue refunds for partial periods.
If a payment fails after Stripe's retry sequence, your account is downgraded to the Free plan. Your data remains in place; only the plan limits change.
Your content
You retain ownership of the content you put into JSeeQ. You grant us the limited license required to store your content and to display it back to you and to anyone you have invited to your workspace. We claim no other rights in your content and we don't use it for advertising or model training.
You represent that you have the right to upload the content you put into JSeeQ, including any third-party personal data such as recruiter or hiring-manager contact details you record in Pipe, and that doing so doesn't violate applicable privacy law.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time by emailing privacy@defensiblelogic.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts as described under Acceptable use. On termination, we remove your data on the schedule described in the Privacy Policy.
Disclaimer
JSeeQ is provided as is and as available. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, that backups will recover all data, or that the resume templating will help you land a job.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you arising from or related to JSeeQ is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost business opportunities, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Defensible Logic, Inc., its officers, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your violation of any law or third-party right, or (c) the content you upload to JSeeQ.
Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or to JSeeQ shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failures to perform caused by events beyond reasonable control — including network outages affecting our hosts or sub-processors, governmental action, or natural disaster — provided the affected party uses reasonable efforts to resume performance.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect, and the unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its original intent.
Notice
We may send notices to you at the email address on file for your account. You may send notices to us at legal@defensiblelogic.com.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date and emailed to the address on file at least 30 days before they take effect. If you don't agree with the changes, your remedy is to cancel your account.
Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Defensible Logic, Inc. with respect to JSeeQ and supersede any prior agreements on the same subject.
